I am just getting into town and, have a few questions about the fishing in the local area.
1. Where are the best spots for fishing?
2. What kind of fish are in Lake Tahoe?
3. What's the best bait to use?
4. Where's the best boat rental?

here it is in a nutshell. the fishing in lake tahoe is around average. i recommend one of the charter services this time of year.
all tributaries flowing into lake tahoe are still closed, and will be until july 1.
most of the other rivers and streams are a little high, brown and fast, but are starting to come down enough to matter.
Indian Creek reservoir is supposedly doing very well. Pyramid lake is picking up.
Most of the alpine lakes are still snow covered or at least ice filled.
A little warm weather will change things quickly, but that's not currently in the forecast.
Ah well, at least the skiing is still great.
