Hit all three Epic resorts for a taste
There is one resort in Tahoe that was
planned from the get go with families in mind. That resort is
Northstar. From endless corduroy to bungee trampolines you'll find
something here for every member of your tribe. In the summer you can
choose from a beautiful golf course or some of North America's best
lift accessed mountain biking. Northstar has more in the way of
slopeside lodging than any Tahoe resort and the somewhat recent
addition of the Ritz Carlton only bolsters that in terms of numbers and
quality. The slopes at Northstar ar a bit on the mellow side. In fact,
locals often refer to it as Flatstar. The black runs here (often
groomed) would amount to blues at many other resorts. There is some
accessible out of bounds terrain but when we visited it was closed.
Their park game is definitely on point. There certainly are great views
to be had including Lake Tahoe as well as great vistas of Squaw Valley
and Alpine Meadows.
