Dana Lake is almost thawed out and it's only mid July! Along the south edge of this valley there was enough snow
to skin all the way to the bottom of Dana Couloir. The boot pack up from there wouldn't be too bad either.
On July 7, 2005 however, there was not enough snow to make it all the way back to Tioga Lake. The first hour on the
way
in would be scrambling over Talus. Not good for ski boots.
