The Timber Lodge is one of the two large Marriott properties that anchor the Heavenly Village. Both properties are timeshares that offer unbooked units as rentals. The rooms are typically very nice although the studios (villas) are usually a lockout of a larger unit. It seems the walls between the lockout and the rest of the unit are not as thick as those between units. My personal experience also bears this out. From the reviews, many folks seem disappointed with the housekeeping services although they seem to be complaining about getting exactly what is advertised. It sounds as though this is an unfavorable review. It is not, but it is expensive so people tend to be more critical. If you are an active family that can afford a 2 bedroom here, it's a n excellent choice. Through June of 2006 there will be ongoing construction of Timber Lodge's final phase and some noise and dust should be expected.
A pass to Lakeside Beach is typically included with your room though you'll want to drive there if you've got beach stuff for a family.
