Annual Events

Lake Tahoe is host to many nationally and internationally recognized events every year in addition to some very special events of local flavor. Below you will find links to more information about many of those events. Got an event?

Sporting Events
America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride - Always the first Sunday in June, this year's ride is on June 4, 2017.

Tour de Tahoe - Once organizers realized America's Most Beautiful bike Ride simply wasn't big enough, they added another date at the end of the Summer. This year's Tour de Tahoe is on Sunday, September 10.

Lake Tahoe Marathon - Events are scheduled for October 13-15, 2017. The marathon is October 15. This event just keeps getting bigger and better.

DeCelle Memorial Relay - This year's 52nd running of the 7 leg relay race around the lake will be June 10, 2017.

American Century Celebrity Golf Championship - July 11-16, 2017.

Festivals and Shows
Lake Tahoe Snow Festival - Often called "Mountain Mardi Gras", this event spans the North Shore March 3-12, 2017.

Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival - This year's festival at Sand Harbor (July 8 - August 27, 2017) will feature Love's Labour Lost and Hound of the Baskervilles (schedule), live music every Monday night, plus the always popular The D.G. Menchetti Young Shakespeare Program providing 10 free matinees suitable for children (some at other locales). 

Fireworks - July 4th and Labor Day (Sunday night before Labor Day).

Kokanee Salmon Festival (Now called the FallFishFest)- Held early in October the festival celebrates the spawning of the Kokanee Salmon in Taylor Creek. This is a great event for the whole family. There's more to it than the salmon run including several trail runs. October 7 and 8, 2017

Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance - Highlight of the annual Wooden Boat Week, this is not your ordinary boat show. This years show is August  11-12, 2017.

Classical Tahoe - This weeklong(plus) series of concerts in Incline Village runs from July 28- August 12, 2017. Formerly Tahoe Summerfest

Tahoe Music Festival - This weeklong series of concerts in Tahoe City, Truckee, and on the West Shore runs from August 15-20, 2017

Oktoberfest - Held at Camp Richardson each year.

Valhalla Renaissance Faire - Held at Camp Richardson (not Valhalla), the event is back on this year after a year of campground renovations. The weekend of June 10-11, 2017
