Lakeview Commons
Lakeview Commons is Tahoe's
newest
beach. Not that the beach is new, but the area surrounding it has been
redeveloped as of 2011-12. The idea was to create something similar to
Commons Beach in Tahoe City that would provide not only a beach but a
place to hold events and festivals.
There are also regularly scheduled SUP
races that are very popular. The beach is also a good spot to watch the
sunset
during late spring through early fall. There are numerous BBQ grills as
well. Other times of the year the sun
will be setting behind buildings and trees rather than across the lake.
There is a boat ramp here as well as longer as the water is high
enough.
