Cave Rock State Park is part
of the lake Tahoe Nevada State Park System. It provides a long rocky
shoreline which works well for fishing as well as a small sandy beach.
The park lies under the volcanic cliffs of Cave Rock. There are 2 boat
ramps for motorized craft on the north end and a non-motorized boat
launch area on the beach at the south end.
The beach is located just south of Cave Rock on Highway 50.
Unfortunately, Cave Rock has been closed to climbing at this time due
to religious mumbo jumbo. Hopefully, reasonable minds will prevail and
access will be granted once again.
