Fallen Leaf
Campground
With 205 sites, Fallen Leaf Campground is one of
Tahoe's largest. Unlike beachfront campgrounds like Nevada Beach or
Meeks Bay, there is no one main draw here. However it is an ideal
location with great hiking, streams, and beaches on two lakes nearby.
All sites have picnic tables, bear lockers (for food, not bears). Hikes
to mount Tallac and Desolation Wilderness are easy to get to from here,
and short hikes to Fallen Leaf Lake or Taylor Creek start right from
your camp site.

Directions - From the 'Y' in South Lake
Tahoe head north on Hwy 89. After passing Camp Richardson
(specifically ater passing the stables on your left) it will be the
next left turn. The campground will be the first thing you come to on
your right.
