Bottle Creek
If you're looking for a good
beginners area with an easy approach just a short drive from South Lake
Tahoe, Bottle Creek may be the call. There is, an albeit small,
selection of crack and face/slab climbs on somewhat dirty rock. The
rock is about 30-35 feet tall with several bolted routes and some that
are just for topropes. Most are 5.7ish but the more north facing
section has a few 5.11 face climbs. If you are doing sport routes, 4-5
draws
will usually do the trick with a walk off.
