Eagle Lake Buttress
Eagle Lake Buttress sits high
above Eagle Lake with outstanding views of Lake Tahoe,
Emerald Bay, the Velmas, and much more. The rock is excellent quality
with lots of great holds. The climbing is multi-pitch trad
and runs from easy to moderate.

Directions
- From South Lake Tahoe head north on 89 from the Y. Park at
the Eagle
Falls parking area. Parking is $5 inside the parking area or free on
the roadside parking areas. All of the Eagle Canyon areas start
here.Head up the Eagle Lake trail and when you get to the lake, cross
the creek follow
the trail to the right side of the lake. Head up the talus gully to
gain the ridge. Hike along the ridge until you reach the buttress.
Approach should be about 90 minutes.
