Smoke Rock
Smoke Rock is a large boulder
located about 80 yards
from the main parking area for all the Eagle Canyon climbs. The climbs
are all roghly 25'-30' tall and are all top ropable. The rock is a fun
way for beginning climbers to see what it's all about although the
climbs themselves are fairly tough for beginners. It is an easy place
to go when you have non-climbers (and non-hikers) with you and there
are picnic tables there as well. It is even stroller friendly.

Directions
- From South Lake Tahoe head north on 89 from the Y. Park at the Eagle
Falls parking area. Parking is $5 inside the parking area or free on
the roadside parking areas. All of the Eagle Canyon areas start here.
Instead of heading up the main trail follow a trail past the bathrooms
to some picnic tables. You are there.
