The West course winds along the hillside above Carson City, providing magnificent views of the course and the high desert surrounding Carson City. The course rewards those who like target golf, but can penalize the stray shot. There are sharp elevation changes, which is part of what makes the course so fun. Even with all this, it still remains a very fair test of the game, and a good value.
