Flagpole Peak offers up beautiful
views of Lake Tahoe and the Echo Lakes, at a steep price. The summer
hike is only a little over a mile and about a 900' elevation gain but
there is no avoiding the steep finish. Skiing the peak in the winter
you start in Meyers and while the distance is also just over a mile the
elevation gain is about 1,800' which is what makes it such an
excellent ski when it's good.
