Harrah's represents the cream of Tahoe's Casino Hotels. Kudos are consistently given for both the rooms and the level of service. For instance, the standard room comes with two full bathrooms. Of all the casinos, Harrah's is the closest to Heavenly Village and the Gondola. Harrah's restaurant offerings are also among Tahoe's best. The Family Fun Center is an excellent place for kids.
A pass to Lakeside Beach is typically included with your room though you'll want to drive there if you've got beach stuff for a family.
