The Stateline lodging core represents the bulk of South Lake Tahoe's available rooms. Within this area you will find the casino core, (Harveys, Harrahs, Caesars/Montbleu, and the Horizon), the Lake Park area (everything you see here on the lake side of Highway 50 in California), and the Heavenly Village area (the redeveloped area and it's neighbors). The pink area represents the ongoing construction of the Convention Center and the Chateau at Heavenly.
Your lodging choices in this area are Embassy Suites, Marriott- Timber Lodge, Marriott- Grand Residence, Stardust Lodge, Forest Suites, Royal Valhalla, Travelodge, Holiday Inn Express, 3 Peaks Resort and Beach Club, Best Western Station House Inn, Blue Lake Inn at Tahoe, Avalon Lodge, Harrahs Casino, Harveys Casino, MontBleu Resort, Horizon Casino.
This is also the center of South Lake Tahoe's activities and nightlife scenes as well. The casino hotels each come with a number of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs in addition to shops, spas, live entertainment and of course, gaming. Embassy Suites and the Best Western Station House Inn each have fine restaurants as well. While the Marriott properties don't have their own restaurants, the Heavenly Village (basically the first floor for these properties) features six restaurants at present with more on the way as well as dozens of specialty shops.
