Harvey's
is the grand daddy of Lake Tahoe casinos. When Harvey Gross decided in
1956 to launch the first casino hotel here, all of South Lake Tahoe
changed. Unlike much of what was built within 15 years of this is
unchanged, Harvey's has been updated, expanded, blown up, and rebuilt.
The new Harvey's is almost on par with Harrah's (which is also it's new
owner).
There are two towers at Harveys, the Lake Tower ansd the
Mountain Tower. By most accounts, the Lake Tower is the nicer of the
two. It definitely is the newer. Like Harrah's, there are a number of
fine restaurants and bars throughout the hotel. A pass to Lakeside
Beach is typically included with your room though you'll want
to drive there if you've got beach stuff for a family.
