Backcountry Gear - Navigation Systems

Heading into the backcountry? The last thing you want is to get lost. A GPS will help you to keep on the right path regardless of weather or visibility. But they are more than just a safety tool. A webmaster such as myself might use it to make a page like this. You can store waypoints prior to your trip for advance planning, or during your trip to record events. Left your cache under a boulder that's now under 6 feet of snow. You stored the waypoint, right? No problem. Today's GPS systems are better than ever. In 2000, selective availability was turned off instantly making GPS systems much more accurate. Additionally, they are now combined with other features such as radios, health monitoring features, and even cameras. And now they are more affordable than ever before as well.
What do you get the guy/girl who has everything? A way to find it all
