Waterproof, Breathable Outerwear

If you spend any time in the backcountry you know the importance of quality technical outerware. The ability to regulate your temperature, rather than having Mother Nature do it, can at the very least keep you on the hill longer. Yes, layers and undergarments are very important too, but your outerwear is the key. Here in Lake Tahoe it is more important to have breathable waterproof outer layer than it is to have a thick warm jacket. Vents are also a must, both for your jacket and pants.
