Estate Weddings in South Lake Tahoe
Many view estate weddings as
the premier Lake Tahoe weddings. As such, these locations don't come
cheap. In these cases, having a wedding coordinator
makes even more sense. In fact, some of these estates require you
contact them through a wedding coordinator. Due to limited availabilty,
these estates often sell out over a year in advance.
South Shore Private Estates for Weddings
Tahoe Sierra Mountain Home
- Situated on a small private alpine lake in beautiful Hope Valley,
this home is ideal for a wedding with a true alpine feel. It's even in
Alpine County, Ca.
Tahoe Party Estate
- Hidden in Upper Kingsbury you'll find this lake view gem for your
ceremony and reception. Imagine 2,000 sq. feet of deck space
overlooking Lake Tahoe.
Thunderbird Lodge
- This historic estate, owned and operated by the Thunderbird Lodge
Preservation Society is available for weddings (not lodging) for up to
120 guests.
Valhalla
- This historic lodge, built in 1923, is a beautiful place to hold your
indoor or outdoor waterfront reception. You won't find it on our beach
weddings page because, due to Forest Service regulations, wedding
ceremonies must be held inside the lodge. Valhalla is located on
Highway 89 just past Camp Richardson. The lodge itself has a capacity
of 125.
Buckingham Rentals
- There are a number of fantastic homes to choose from here. Some are
already listed above. For instance, the Buchanan Estate (there), and
the Tahoe Party Estate (here) are one and the same. The 'Tahoe Mountain
Home' (there) is not the same as the one listed above.
