Estate Weddings in South Lake
Tahoe
Many view estate weddings as
the premier Lake Tahoe weddings. As such, these locations don't come
cheap. In these cases, having a wedding
coordinator
makes even more sense. In fact, some of these estates require you
contact them through a wedding coordinator. Due to limited availabilty,
these estates often sell out over a year in advance.
South Shore Private Estates for Weddings
Thunderbird Lodge
- This historic estate, owned and operated by the Thunderbird Lodge
Preservation Society is available for weddings (not lodging) for up to
120 guests.
The Hideout - Located west of Kirkwood, it's hard to imagine a more private estate.
Valhalla
- This historic lodge, built in 1923, is a beautiful place to hold your
indoor or outdoor waterfront reception. You won't find it on our beach
weddings page because, due to Forest Service regulations, wedding
ceremonies must be held inside the lodge. Valhalla is located on
Highway 89 just past Camp Richardson. The lodge itself has a capacity
of 125.
Fjeldheim
- Fjeldheim (MOuntain Home) is a 9,000 square foot Norwegien
chalet with lake views, seating for 100, and parking for 50 cars.
Buckingham
Rentals
- There are a number of fantastic homes to choose from here. Each
wedding friendly home has it's own unique set of requirements so
please inquire.
Because we try to link directly to the wedding pages for these sites
rather than their home page, often the links can be to outdated or
nonexistent pages. Many of the ski resorts change their page names
every season. Help us keep this page up to date by letting
us know if you find a broken or outdated link. Do you know of
a South Lake Tahoe wedding resource not listed here. Let
us know.
