capacity, general location, and whether they also offer ceremonies.
Most will also offer rehearsals of some sort as well.
South Shore Reception Locations
Lakeland
Village - Lakeland Village provides an excellent lakeside
venue for your catered reception for up to 125 guests.
Edgewood
Tahoe - Edgewood is an astoundingly beautiful property on the
shores of the lake. There are several options to choose from depending
upon the size of your party, which can range from 25 to 300.
Thunderbird
Lodge - Located about 2 miles South of Sand Harbor, this
private lakefront estate is a masterpiece. Maximum capacity is 150.
Lakefront
Wedding Chapel - Choose from the lakeview reception room or
the lakefront garden patio.
Round Hill
Pines Beach Resort - Picture dancing under two large white
tents on the shores of the lake as the sun sets on the far side of
Tahoe. Receptions and rehearsals for up to 225.
The Landing Resort and Spa
- The Landing offers several lake view venues with a capacity of
up 300. Luxurious accommodations filled with amenities are also
available.
Revive
Coffee and Wine Bar
- Revive's tasting room and or lawn
makes for excellent receptions following your ceremony either at Revive
or at nearby Regan Beach.
The
Chart House - Perched on the hillside high above Stateline,
the Chart House offers beautiful lake views from the manicured lawn.
Indoor facilities are also available.
MacDuffs
- MacDuffs public house sits in an old home with a large
lawn on a quiet street. There are several options here including a
private room for 40 , the entire restaurant for 100, or the lawn which
can also hold 100.
Riva Grill
- Located in the new Ski Run Marina, the Riva features many lake view
options from intimate affairs to galas for 500. ceremonies are also
available.
Best
Western Station House Inn - This is one of the closest hotels
to the beach in Stateline. There are several wedding/lodging packages
to choose from. Private dining areas for up to 57 guests.
Lake
Tahoe Resort Hotel - The Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel (formerly
Embassy Suites) features beautifully designed banquet space,
and lots of it too. Groups of 10 to 300 will enjoy tantalizing food and
elegant professional service.
Hotel Azure - right across the street from the
Lake's shore, the Hotel Azure Tahoe's event center features lakeview seated receptions for
up to 80.
Lake
Tahoe Golf Course - Beautiful receptions in an alpine setting
for 40 to 250. The Golf course is located on the west side of town near
Meyers on Hwy 50.
Valhalla
- This historic lodge, built in 1923, is a beautiful place to hold your
indoor or outdoor waterfront reception. You won't find it on our beach
weddings page because, due to Forest Service regulations, wedding
ceremonies must be held inside the lodge. Valhalla is located on
Highway 89 just past Camp Richardson. The lodge itself has a capacity
of 125.
The
Ridge Tahoe - The Ridge Tahoe offers everything you need for
your ceremony and reception, all in one place. indoor offerings for up
to 125; outdoor offerings for up to 175.
Tahoe
Paradise Resort - Tahoe Paradise offers several places to
hold your ceremony or catered reception. For receptions, there is the
clubhouse, complete with large BBQ pit. The riverside park also feature
large BBQs as well as great views.
Strawberry
Lodge - This antique lodge in the tiny hamlet of Strawberry
sits on the banks of the American River. The lodge features a dining
room, bar, and ballroom making it the perfect out of the way place for
your ceremony and reception.
Tep's
Villa Roma - An italian tradition here on the South Shore,
Tep's offers banquet space for up to 200 as well as smaller rooms for
more intimate receptions.
Zephyr Cove
- This is definitely an ideal situation for a beachfront reception.
There is a large white canopy adjacent to a lawn and stage. All are
mere steps from the lake.
Montbleu
Resort Casino & Spa - Have every detail of your
reception handled by one of Tahoe's top professionals.

Dixie II - Tahoe's newest paddlewheeler offers receptions
both as part of a public cruise or as a chartered cruise. Seated
capacity is 360 in two seatings. The M.S. Dixie hails from Zephyr Cove.
Tahoe
Paradise - This 2-story luxury yacht can accommodate your
group of up to 120. Ceremonies are also available. She runs year round.
