Estate Weddings in North Lake Tahoe

Estate Weddings are the creme de la creme of Lake Tahoe weddings. As such, you should be expecting to drop a large dime for these locations. When doing so, having a wedding coordinator makes even more sense. In fact, some of these estates require you contact them through a wedding coordinator. Due to limited availabilty, these estates often sell out over a year in advance. Additionally, a change in ownership can take them off the market for weddings permanently.

North Shore Private Estates for Weddings

Thunderbird Lodge - This historic estate, owned and operated by the Thunderbird Lodge Preservation Society is available for weddings (not lodging) for up to 120 guests.

Kehlet Mansion - This house, built by the founders of Meeks Bay Resort sits on a peninsula jutting out into the lake next to one of Tahoe's most beautiful and serene beaches. The house sleeps 12, and the resort next door offers cabins, a lodge and a very nice campground for the rest of your guests.

Bear Paw Lodge -  Lakeview Estate located within the Tahoe Park  HOA near Sunnyside. The website has older pictures of the home. For more current pics check out a recent wedding.

Merrily Wed - Stephanie has the inside track on a number of Lakefront Estates that allow weddings.

Geisen Home - This large secluded home sits on the banks of the Truckee River just north of Squaw Valley USA. It is ideal for weddings up to 300 and won't set you back nearly as much as Tahoe's lakefront estates.
